Step 1: Online Drone Pilot Training
In order to fly your drone under the FAA’s Small UAS Rule (Part 107), you must obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA. This certificate demonstrates that you understand the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones. It is highly recommended that you complete a course in preparation for the Part 107 test, as it costs $150 to sit for the exam.
We are excited to announce our partnership with Drone Pilot Ground School, an online test prep course for commercial drone pilots looking to pass the FAA Aeronautical Knowledge Test for a Remote Pilot Certificate. Over 99% of Drone Pilot Ground School students pass on their first attempt. Click the links below to find your closest testing center and to learn more about Drone Pilot Ground School.
Step 2: In Person Pilot Training
Once you have mastered the basics of piloting a drone online, you will come to our headquarters in Charlotte, NC to learn how to fly safely and clean effectively. At the end of this, you will be given a certificate of accomplishment and a license to operate Lucid drones.
